Get ready for everything you ever – or never – wanted to know about steel vs fiberglass!
Post updated May 4, 2018
In this loooooong episode, we decide (since there was literally NOTHING else going on this week) to sit down and engage in a discussion of sailboat hull materials. Namely, the two biggies that we knew something about: steel and fiberglass.
This is probably the longest and most boring video we’ve done yet ?, but it’s information that I think we would have enjoyed when we were considering the pros and cons of steel sailboats vs. fiberglass/GRP construction, and the things to look out for when inspecting and surveying a boat.
If you’re in the midst of thinking about buying, we chat about everything we could think of when it comes to why you might pick one material over another. Remember, there’s no right or wrong choice – simply personal preference.
